Samsung Galaxy Unpacked July 2026 wearables: two watches, smart glasses, no new Ring
At Galaxy Unpacked in London on July 22, Samsung announced the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 and showed its intelligent eyewear. There was no new Galaxy Ring in Samsung's recap, and Galaxy Buds aren't listed.

Part of our Galaxy Watch guide
Samsung's July 2026 Galaxy Unpacked had two wearables announcements: the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9, which are on sale in the US, and an "intelligent eyewear" line that was introduced without a price or release date. This guide covers each one, what Samsung's recap leaves out, and where to read more. It is based on Samsung's newsroom releases, Samsung's US product pages and Warby Parker's own page, all read for this guide, plus earlier Talaya articles where noted.

What Samsung showed at Unpacked
Samsung's recap says it hosted Galaxy Unpacked July 2026 on July 22 at Old Billingsgate in London. Besides the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Fold8 and Z Flip8 phones, it lists the Galaxy Watch Ultra2, the Galaxy Watch9 and intelligent eyewear. No ring and no Galaxy Buds appear in that list.
Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9
Samsung announced both watches on July 22. US pre-orders opened that day, and general availability began Aug. 7, 2026.
| Galaxy Watch Ultra2 | Galaxy Watch9 | |
|---|---|---|
| US price | $699.99 | $379.99 (Bluetooth), $429.99 (LTE) |
| Sizes | 47mm | 40mm and 44mm |
| Battery | 800 mAh | 390 mAh |
Samsung's release says the Ultra2's battery is a 35% increase over the previous Ultra. Samsung's US pages list the Watch9 from $379.99, or $15.83 a month before trade-in, and the Watch Ultra2 from $699.99, or $29.17 a month before trade-in.
Two details come from earlier Talaya reporting rather than the July release. Samsung rates the Ultra2 for up to 60 hours and the Watch9 for up to 30 hours with the always-on display on, as covered in our Galaxy Watch guide. Both run Wear OS 7, as noted in our Google I/O 2026 roundup.
Samsung's release and pages cover the US only. We have no verified prices or dates for other countries.
The intelligent eyewear
Samsung introduced its intelligent eyewear at the London event, developed with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. The release describes up to nine hours on a single charge, with up to seven more full charges from the charging case, and a built-in camera that "brings visual context to the AI experience."
The release gives no price, availability or launch date.
Other sources fill part of the gap:
- Warby Parker says its Intelligent Eyewear launch is "coming this fall", and that it previewed a second frame in the collection at Galaxy Unpacked.
- The Korea Herald reported on Oct. 1 that a Samsung official had confirmed a November launch, as relayed in our Samsung smart glasses report.
- Chosunbiz reported on Oct. 30 that Samsung will begin its first sales of the glasses in mid-December in Korea and the US. It attributes the timing to unnamed electronics industry sources and says the price has not been set.
Both are news reports, not announcements from Samsung, and they disagree. Samsung hasn't published a launch date itself, so don't plan around November or December until it does. Our Android XR glasses timeline tracks the dated milestones, including July 22.
Galaxy Ring
Samsung's recap lists no new ring. The Galaxy Ring on Samsung's US store is listed "From $299.99 before trade-in." It launched July 10, 2024, at $399.99, and Samsung hasn't announced a successor, per our Galaxy Ring guide. If you're weighing it against other rings, see Oura vs Galaxy Ring vs Ultrahuman.
Galaxy Buds
Samsung's recap doesn't list Galaxy Buds, so there is nothing from the event to report.
Still unknown
- The eyewear's product name, price, and a Samsung-confirmed release date and list of countries.
- Galaxy Watch9 and Ultra2 pricing and availability outside the US.
- Any price change after Aug. 7.
- A Galaxy Ring successor.
