About Talaya
An independent publication about smart glasses, wearables and the AI assistants inside them.
What we do
Computers are moving onto our faces, wrists and fingers, and the assistants inside them can now see and hear what we do. Talaya follows that shift for people in the United States who wear their tech, or are thinking about it: what a new pair of glasses can really do, how to get more out of the devices you already own, and where all of this is going.
We publish news every day, guides that stay useful long after the news cycle, and analysis with the numbers behind it.
What we cover
- Smart glasses. Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta and Meta Ray-Ban Display, Snap Specs, the Android XR glasses from Google, Samsung and XREAL, and whatever Apple brings to the category.
- Wearables. Smartwatches, rings, earbuds and pins, and the health and AI features that come with them.
- AI. The assistants and models inside these devices, from Meta AI and Gemini to ChatGPT and Siri: what they can do, what they cost and what they do with your data.
How we work
Every story links to its sources, from company announcements and regulatory filings to research papers and official help pages. Guides say what we have used ourselves and what comes from specifications or other reporting. When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so at the end of the story. Nobody pays for coverage.
The details are in our editorial standards.
Who's behind it
Talaya is published by Norvani Holdings LLC. Stories signed “Talaya Newsroom” are written and edited by the Talaya team.
We also make Talaya, an AI assistant app for Ray-Ban Meta glasses on iPhone and Apple Watch. Building it gives us a close look at how these devices and their assistants work, and it also gives us a stake in the category, so we're upfront about it: we cover Meta and its competitors by the same standards, and our app never appears inside a news story. When it's relevant, you'll see it in a clearly separated box.
