Meta Ray-Ban Display release dates in the US, UK, Canada and Europe

As of Oct. 25, 2026, Meta Ray-Ban Display is sold in six countries: the US, the UK, Canada, France, Italy and Germany. The US got it first, on Sept. 30, 2025. The other five followed a year later, after Meta paused its original international plan because of demand and limited inventory.

The dates and prices below come from Meta's announcements. Meta hasn't announced dates for any other country.

All prices include the Meta Neural Band. Pre-orders in France, Italy and Germany started rolling out on Sept. 23, 2026.

How the rollout happened

When Meta announced the glasses on Sept. 17, 2025, it said they would go on sale on Sept. 30 at a limited number of US retailers, with select Verizon stores following, and that expansion to Canada, France, Italy and the UK was planned for early 2026.

Demand ran ahead of supply. Within days of the launch, Meta wrote that nearly every store it had stocked had sold out and that demos were almost fully booked through November. At CES on Jan. 6, 2026, Meta said waitlists extended "well into 2026" and that it had "decided to pause our planned international expansion to the UK, France, Italy, and Canada," to focus on filling US orders while it reconsidered its approach.

The expansion came at Connect on Sept. 23, 2026, with Germany added to the list. Meta also opened online ordering that day in the US and the new markets, with a phone-based tool for sizing the Neural Band. In the new countries, Meta said it is starting with select stores in priority cities, where people can see the display working and get fitted.

United States

The US has had Meta Ray-Ban Display the longest, since Sept. 30, 2025, at $799. It was sold only in stores, where Meta required a demo and fitting, until online ordering began on Sept. 23, 2026. Prescription versions are available through Meta.com and at select stores. Several features have reached US users first or only: the July 2026 software update with Threads and a new version of Meta AI rolled out in the US, and walking directions now cover every US city.

United Kingdom

Meta Ray-Ban Display went on sale in the UK on Sept. 23, 2026, at £749. You can order online or buy in stores in London, and select UK stores support prescription lenses.

Canada

Canada got the glasses on the same day, Sept. 23, 2026, at CA$1,149, online and in stores in Vancouver and Toronto. Prescription versions are sold through Meta.com in Canada. Canada also shares two features with the US: Meta announced cycling directions and live transit departures for both countries, and neural handwriting for Meta AI is in Early Access in the US and Canada.

France, Italy and Germany

The three European countries share a price, €899, and a date. Pre-orders started rolling out on Sept. 23, 2026, and Meta set Oct. 13 for online ordering and store sales, starting with stores in Paris, Milan, Rome, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich. Meta said prescription lenses would be available from Oct. 13 through EssilorLuxottica optical stores in France and Italy, and in Germany later in 2026.

Other countries

Meta's September announcement named five new markets and no others, and Meta hasn't given a timeline for anywhere else. That includes the rest of Europe, Australia and the other countries where Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses are sold.
