Rokid unveils Rokid Color, its first full-color AI glasses, at 4,999 yuan
Rokid launched the Rokid Color, its first full-color AI glasses, at 4,999 yuan, with shipments expected from April 2027, according to reports of the launch. No source gives prices or availability outside China.

Rokid launched three products at an event on Oct. 27: the Rokid Color, the Rokid Glasses 2 and the Rokid Ring. The Color is the company's first full-color AI glasses, according to Tech Insider. The Chinese price is 4,999 yuan for the black model, and shipments are expected to start in April 2027, according to reports of the launch. None of those reports gives a US price or a list of countries where the glasses will be sold.
Rokid itself had not posted the specs and prices on a page we could confirm. Its PR Newswire list, its global blog and its main site did not show the Color, the Glasses 2 or the Ring when we checked. Everything below comes from outlets reporting on the event.
What Rokid launched
The event was themed "Smarter, More Colorful," according to BigGo Finance. It covered three products:
- Rokid Color: full-color AI glasses with a custom Micro-LED optical engine (0.16cc), per Economic Observer. The frame weighs 55 grams without the nose pad.
- Rokid Glasses 2: BigGo reports a 263mAh battery, up 25% from the previous generation, and overall endurance up 50%. It also lists a 12-megapixel camera that records 4K at 30 frames per second and 2K at 60, plus AI call translation in 89 languages.
- Rokid Ring: a ring for controlling the glasses. BigGo says gesture recognition runs on the device, with accuracy above 95% and a target of 97% to 98% at launch. The ring also tracks heart rate, body temperature, blood oxygen and sleep.
Prices and availability
All prices below are in yuan, as reported from the launch. Economic Observer and Tech Insider give both Color versions, and 36Kr gives the same starting prices for all three products.
| Product | Version | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Rokid Color | Black, 2GB + 64GB | 4,999 yuan |
| Rokid Color | Tortoiseshell, 4GB + 64GB | 5,499 yuan |
| Rokid Glasses 2 | Starting price | 3,699 yuan |
| Rokid Ring | Starting price | 1,699 yuan |
BigGo converts those starting prices to about $556, $751 and $255 for the Glasses 2, the Color and the Ring. Those are BigGo's own conversions, not prices set by Rokid. No source gives a US price.
Only the Color has a ship date. BigGo says it will ship from April 2027, and the Chinese report says shipments are expected to begin that month. No source gives a ship date for the Glasses 2 or names any country where the Color or the Glasses 2 will go on sale. Tech Insider noted that its sources gave "no international price and no global launch date."
The 'iPhone 1 moment' claim
The line is a claim by Rokid CEO Zhu Mingming. In an interview reported by 21jingji, citing Securities Times, he said, in Chinese, that the "first-generation iPhone moment" for AI glasses has arrived. The English wording that Tech Insider and 36Kr both use is: "The 'iPhone 1 moment' for AI glasses has truly arrived." 36Kr credits the line to the company ("Rokid stated") rather than to the CEO by name.
BigGo adds that Zhu set a next goal of cutting product weight to under 45 grams, and that he called glasses "inevitably" the best terminal device for AI agents. The company also says existing users wear its glasses more than six hours a day on average. That figure is Rokid's claim, and we have not measured it.
What is still unknown
- Battery life of the Color. No source gives one.
- Brightness and outdoor visibility. Tech Insider notes that nobody outside Rokid has published measurements.
- Whether the Color comes with the ring. The reports describe the ring as working with the glasses lineup, not as a bundle.
- US pricing and sales channels for all three products.
If you own or want Rokid glasses
Nothing here changes what you can buy today. Our Rokid Glasses guide covers Rokid's earlier products, the 49-gram Rokid Glasses display model and the Style, and none of its specs or prices apply to the Glasses 2 or the Color. For comparison, our CES 2026 smart glasses roundup lists Rokid AI Glasses Style prices as of Oct. 25.
With an expected ship date about six months out and no word on markets outside China, the useful step for now is to wait for Rokid's own release and for independent measurements of the Color's display.
